SMALL GROUP MEETINGS

Would you like to participate in the Guild at a more personal level?  Then a Small Group may be for you.

Small Group meetings are for all HAAQG members. You may be able to find a group near your home town or maybe a group with the same quilting interests as yours.   No matter what, it's a great way to meet people, learn, and have a good time. Below are descriptions and contacts for the Guild’s current small groups.  Check the current newsletter for dates and locations.  Hope to see you there!

Hey Quilters

In September, Hey Quilters begins meeting on the third Thursday of each month, rather than the fourth Thursday.  We meet at the Heyworth United Church’s Library Lounge at 302 E. Main St. in Heyworth from 6:30-9 pm.  Group members bring current projects and we visit while we work.  You may want to bring your sewing machine or your rotary cutter and mat.  We have a couple of tables and plenty of space to work.  Some of our group bring along their other craft work, too.  It's not unusual to see someone knitting or beading at our meetings! Each year we try to organize a group project.  We often have cookies, or other good munchies - just whatever we feel like bringing that night.  We are pretty casual, and have a good time visiting with each other.  If you live in or around Heyworth - or just want to come out - join us. For more information, please contact Kimberly Travers or Kim Nelson.

Hudson Area Quilters

The Hudson Area Quilters meet on the second Saturday of the month from 9 am–5 pm at the Hudson Fire Department at 502 N. Broadway.  Please click here to see who will be coordinating each month.  For more information, please contact Ruth Pfaffmann or Ada Rediger.

Magic Needles

The Magic Needles meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7 pm.  Bring a project to work on.  Please click here to see who will be hosting for the month.  All guild members are welcome.  Refreshments are served.  Contact Arlene Mitchell for more information.

Sew & Tell

Sew & Tell meets at 1:00 pm on the second Wednesday of the month at the Lexington Community Center, Lexington, Illinois. For more information contact Linda Hutchins.
