The BOM team is ready to start the year out with some fun and challenging blocks for everyone. We are planning a star sampler which will consist of nine 12-inch blocks. We'll provide two star block patterns per month for four months, then one more star block plus setting and quilting options. By May, you can make a wonderful sampler. None of these blocks will be exchanged; this is a flexible pattern for your use.
To go with Marsha's theme of 'One More', we will be asking every participant to make a special block each month that will go towards a Linus Quilt. The Linus Block is Monkey Wrench. We hope to have 6 Linus Quilts by the end of the Guild year!
Any participant making a Linus block will be entered in a monthly drawing for some fabulous prizes. There will also be a grand prize drawing at the May Salad supper for those who finish their sampler quilts and bring them to the meeting. To keep the size of the newsletter down, we ask that you print the handouts from this website if at all possible. A limited number of handouts will be available at the Guild meeting only for those without Internet access. Handouts are available below.
